Runner-up Finish in USMTS Opener at I-37 Speedway

Friday night, at the I-37 Speedway in Pleasanton, Calvin was fast out of the gate, winning his heat race from the outside of the front row, earning his first ever USMTS pole award. In the feature, Calvin lead the first handful of laps before settling in to the second spot and racing home with a career best runner up finish for his efforts.
1Saturday, at South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi, he ran fourth in his heat race before coming home with a 14th place finish in the main event.
Sunday wrapped up the opening weekend at the Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, TX and Calvin ran 6th in his heat race, ninth in the b-main and then used a provisional to start the feature, racing from 23rd up to 16th when the checkered flew.
